I am a psychodynamic psychotherapist and art psychotherapist with over 17 years’ experience working across NHS and private practice. I work with adults and young adults who may be experiencing emotional or relational difficulties, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, life transitions, or a sense of feeling stuck or repeating patterns that are difficult to change.
How I Work
My approach is grounded in psychodynamic and psychoanalytic thinking, with additional training in Mentalization-Based Therapy (MBT). I am interested in how our earlier experiences and relationships can shape the ways we understand ourselves, manage emotions and relate to others, often influencing patterns that continue into the present.
Therapy provides an opportunity to slow down and think together about these experiences. I pay attention not only to what is spoken, but also to feelings, relational patterns and experiences that may be more difficult to put into words. As an art psychotherapist, I also have a particular sensitivity to non-verbal forms of communication and emotional expression, although you do not need to have any interest or experience in art to work with me.
