I am a qualified integrative therapist, with over 15 years’ experience. I have worked with a wide range of issues including anxiety, depression, childhood trauma, burnout, relationship issues, work-related stress, bereavement, and sexual and domestic abuse.
As an integrative therapist, I provide a flexible and client-centred approach, which allows me to draw on a range of different techniques. I am therefore able to tailor the way I work to help you to meet your individual needs. I have a particular interest in Person-centred therapy, Transactional Analysis and Trauma-focussed Therapy.
I create an environment which is warm, empathic, and compassionate. I will listen and hold what is causing your distress, without judgement. I help you to work through difficult thoughts and feelings, and help you to identify patterns of behaviour which are holding you back. For therapy to work, a good client-counsellor relationship is crucial. I facilitate this by creating a space where you feel supported and respected. We work together to figure out what you need, and how those needs are best met. I invite you to explore your feelings, and may offer you gentle challenges to help you to gain new insights into your situation.
